FSSD Schools Host Open House for Prospective Families Oct. 25

If you are new to the area, thinking of moving, considering a school change, or just want to see for yourself the amazing programs your FSSD public schools offer, come by any of our schools for a special Open House throughout the day on Wednesday, October 25th! 

All Franklin Special School District schools will host Open Houses on Wednesday, October 25, for new families interested in learning more about our schools. Each Open House is scheduled during the school day so prospective parents can see the school in operation and witness the exceptional teaching and learning environment. This is a great opportunity to meet principals, visit classrooms, tour the building, and learn about the academic, related arts, enrichment, and extracurricular offerings in each school.

On this day, the FSSD’s beautiful Performing Arts Center will also be open for visitors to tour from 8:00AM until 2:00PM. Prospective families will see how the district places an emphasis on the whole child, highlighting the district's strong academic education, along with instruction in the fine arts (general music and art), related arts (physical education, computer science), and the performing arts (chorus, theater, dance).

We hope families will take advantage of this special New Family Open House, designed to showcase the many ways Franklin's public schools are providing students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade with an exceptional education.  Participants will see first-hand how the curriculum is paced to provide each student with opportunities for success and how it is taught by teachers who understand the importance of building relationships and providing experiences to last a lifetime.
