The Franklin Special District is bringing the Story Bus, a free mobile library for children ages 4 through 4th grade, to a Kroger parking lot near you this summer!

Children can hop aboard to enjoy story time, pick out a book, and spend time reading while their parent or guardian shops nearby. Staffed by FSD employees, the bus provides a cozy and welcoming space designed to foster a love of reading.

Summer Schedule: June 2 – July 17
(Closed the week of June 30 – July 4)

Mondays • 9:00–12:00
Kroger, Independence Square – 595 Hillsboro Rd

Tuesdays • 9:00–12:00
Kroger – 3064 Columbia Ave

Thursdays • 9:00–12:00
Kroger – 1203 Murfreesboro Rd

Children may stay on the bus for up to 45 minutes. A parent or guardian must provide a cell phone number in case contact is needed during that time.

This is a great way to keep kids engaged in reading over the summer. We hope to see you there.
