GRATITUDE: the quality of feeling of being grateful or thankful
Read Across America week will be March 2-6, 2020. Listed below is a general idea of how we are celebrating our wonderful books this week. Classroom teachers will send home specific celebrations they are doing in honor of this week.
Monday, March 2: Dr. Seuss’s birthday! We are thankful for ALL of his contributions to reading so wear Red, White and Black to celebrate that Cat in the Hat.
Tuesday, March 3: NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS!
Wednesday, March 4: Book Character Day! We are thankful for our books that make us laugh, feel and wonder. We will have a Book Tasting in the library on this day. REMEMBER: No masks, no weapons/wands of any kind. We being our favorite Book Characters, not movie characters.
Thursday, March 5: The Opera is coming! We are thankful for people who share their talents with our school. Considering they are doing a version of Little Red Riding Hood, we are celebrating Folktales & Fairytales.
Friday, March 6: Gratitude Day – what are you thankful for? If you are in the building, stop by the library doors and write on our flowerpot what you are thankful for!
